KOHLOSS Zweigelt Barrique Single Vineyard

Classified southeast exponated slope with deep loess soil; enables optimal nutrient suppliement; 30-40 year old vines are the base for perfect grape material. Selection of the best physiologically ripe grapes; 14 days skin contact; fermented in stainless steel; kept on the lees for 12 months in traditional Austrian Oak 500 liter wood barrels. Dark ruby-garnet, concentrated aroma of dark berries and cassis, very concentrated and compact on the palate with a very ripe tannin structure and a long finish. Ideal with venison, steaks and all other dark meat dishes. ONLY 1,000 bottles produced.
